Trail To Transformation – Let Love Guide You Not Fear

Everyday, as with everything in life, we must keep focusing ahead on our bigger picture or our one big thing. Week five on our trail to transformation brings us to focus on love not fear. We have been walking along concepts to produce a better state of mind and well-being. Only you can put one foot in front of the other on the path towards inner happiness.

If you have found yourself lost on your path, my hope is that you have found your way back on the trail in the last few weeks. If you are just joining in, click here for that last month on the trail.

Can you answer yes to any of these questions?

  1. Do you fear the future or the unknown?
  2. Do you become overwhelmed with all you need to do and don’t achieve anything?
  3. Does fear cripple you from moving forward?

Continue to walk with me on our path towards transformation if you can relate to any of these questions listed above. The transformation trail will lead you to taking charge of your life because you want to gain your freedom back. You have embarked on the trail with me because you most likely want to change something in your life. Little or small my goal is to bring back “you.” Help you find your one thing or bigger picture so life can get back into focus.

This journey is not for you if:

  1. You are comfortable and unstoppable!
  2. You have hot dates with fear and tackle life without issue.

We need to access insight from our gut instincts. Women are forerunners in using their instincts to guide them. Take a step back and listen to what your body is telling you. It will not serve you wrong.

Our trail tips today will aid you in following love and not fear.

  1. Take Things One Step At A Time

If you are like me, I sometimes get way ahead of myself and start focusing too far into the future and become overwhelmed. There are so many things to do and just not enough time to do them! Then you retreat and have done nothing to move forward. This is a great time to sit down on the side of the trail and take a rest. Bring it back to present time. Center or ground your emotions and look at tasks, events, etc. from a fresh look. Follow your love guide (values) and take it one step at a time; one day at a time.

  1. Be Comfortable With The Uncomfortable

Being an outdoor guide, trainer, and instructor for many years, you learn how to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. I once asked a fellow guide early on why he likes guiding and he said it was for the challenge. He’s right, life can hand you situations that put you out of your comfort zone and how you deal with it makes all the difference in the world. If you like to challenge yourself, you will find yourself in uncomfortable situations. Alleviate the feeling of being uncomfortable by being on your game, and preparing yourself for plan a, b and c. Recognize that internal resistance tugging at you and move forward with confidence.

  1. Focus on Priorities

There is a definite distinction between what others can do for you and what you can do for yourself. Focus on what matters most and learn to prioritize and delegate. I sometimes catch myself doing the small items on my task list because they are easy to finish and accomplish. Then I realize that I’m just procrastinating on the bigger, harder tasks that need to get done. Is it fear of success or self doubt that makes us procrastinate?

Fear and doubt sometimes gets in the way of pursuing what you want most. Be courageous and don’t let fear get in the way of following your desires. Be vulnerable, open up to love and put yourself out of your comfort zone. Make your choices fueled by love not fear. Believe in yourself, be confident and the rest will follow.
